I am Roberto Bifulco. I lead the Intelligent Software Systems group at NEC Laboratories Europe, build personal projects, and currently live in Milano.
Computers first interested me because they offered a way to turn ideas into things that work. That interest led me through computer engineering, a Ph.D., and a career in research. It still connects the questions I study with the systems I build.
Much of what I have learned has come from working with people whose knowledge differs from mine. Bringing those perspectives together and giving people the conditions to do good work is an important part of what I do.
If something here connects with your own interests, I would be glad to hear from you.
